BigBrain August 2015 Data Release

This directory contains BigBrain sections, in two formats: MINC and PNG.

There are 5711 sections in the 'Axial/Transverse' dimension. The image
intensities are "histology-like" with white background.

There are three subdirectories for different resolutions
of the sections:

   * Minc                : sections at full resolution (20 um) in MINC format
                           (6572 x 7404, 16-bit grayscale); total size: 147 Gb.

   * Png/Thumbnail       : the same sections at low resolution in PNG format
                           (500 x 532, 8-bit grayscale); total size: 513 Mb.

   * Png/Full_Resolution : sections at full resolution (20 um) in PNG format
                           (6572 x 6995, 8-bit grayscale); total size: 58 Gb.

   * Dzi                 : sections at full resolution (20 um) in DZI format
                           (6572 x 6995) for use with MicroDraw; 
                           total size: 90 Gb.

   * SVG                 : SVG representation of the surface contours on 
                           the Png images at full resolution (20 um) 
                           total size: 583 Mb.
